1965 Factory Five Type 65 Coupe.

When Dave Smith, president of Factory Five Racing, wanted a coupe for his showroom he called Whitby Motorcars. We were honored to build a car for him.

The car had all the options and made its debut at Kit Car Nationals in Carlilse, Pa. in 2002. The car was built as a driver and showroom staple, but its heritage could not be denied and it ventured to the Roush open house in 2002. It performed flawlessly on the drag strip and the Waterford Hills road course.

It was unfortunately damaged extensively when it hit the wall on the road course. The car was repaired and returned to race another day. When it made its way back to Wareham it was reskinned as the famous Roush Coupe that Dave drives today.
